Surfing on the hard work of others: "Best of 2007" lists

Many people put a lot of work into assembling their end-of-the-year lists. Here are some that I found particularly interesting or useful.

Search

This year in Search (Search Engine Watch) Kevin Newcomb defines 2007 as the “year that Search grew up” and posts the highlights from the year as covered by SEW.

Search Year 2007: Search News, in Review (Search Engine Land) Danny Sullivan reviews SearchEngineLand’s first year of Search coverage. It’s Danny, so you know it’s thorough and comprehensive.

Productivity and Blogging

Top Web Apps and Sites of 2007 (ReadWriteWeb) Richard McManus’ list is based on a personal usage metric. If he used the application or site a lot, then it made the list.

Best of Zen Habits in 2007 (Zen Habits) Simplify your life and improve your productivity.

Best of Skelliewag in 2007 (Skelliewag) Skellie’s best ideas on content creation and design tips for your blog.

Best of Copyblogger in 2007 (Copyblogger) Brian Clark’s best-received posts.

Are there any important lists that I missed? Let me know in the comments and I’ll add it to the list.
